O técnico Fernando Diniz não poderá contar com Brenner na partida desta quarta-feira, contra o Ceará, às 19h15 (de Brasília), na Arena Castelão. O confronto vale a liderança do Campeonato Brasileiro para o São Paulo, que terá de entrar em campo sem o seu artilheiro deste ano – o jovem revelado em Cotia soma 17 gols.
Com 13 tentos nos últimos 14 jogos, Brenner vive uma excelente fase, porém, por ter recebido seu terceiro cartão amarelo no último domingo, contra o Vasco da Gama, no Morumbi, terá de cumprir suspensão automática nesta rodada. A tendência é que Pablo substitua a joia tricolor, embora Fernando Diniz não tenha antecipado quem irá jogar.
“Tenho confiança plena no jogador que for entrar. A gente vai selecionar e tem que ser positivo com aqueles que vão jogar. No caso do Brenner, ele será bem substituído. Como todos os jogadores que saíram, temos jogadores à altura para suprir a ausência. Temos que dar moral para quem for jogar”, afirmou Diniz.
Brenner não será relacionado para uma partida do São Paulo após quase três meses. A última vez que o jovem ficou de fora de uma partida do Tricolor aconteceu no final de agosto, contra o Athletico-PR, no Morumbi.
Entre o final do Campeonato Paulista e o início do Brasileirão, Brenner também não vinha sendo relacionado. Foram seis jogos fora. O atacante chegou a treinar afastado por um período, mas convenceu Fernando Diniz de que merecia uma nova chance no elenco profissional do São Paulo. Meses depois, após muita insistência do treinador, o garoto deslanchou e hoje vive o auge da sua carreira.
