Até onde vai o São Paulo no Campeonato Brasileiro? É impossível responder à pergunta agora, claro, ainda mais numa temporada atípica, em tempos de pandemia. Mas o torcedor já pode fazer algumas projeções, ao menos neste momento, em que seus concorrentes na parte de cima da tabela vão reencontrar a Libertadores, e o Tricolor, enfim, começa a pagar seus jogos pendentes do primeiro turno.

O primeiro compromisso atrasado está marcado para a próxima quarta-feira (25). A equipe de Fernando Diniz vai ao Castelão enfrentar o Ceará em partida que servirá pela 16ª rodada. Se vencer, o São Paulo já ultrapassará o Flamengo, pulando para segundo. A liderança? Bem, o Atlético-MG, com os mesmos 39 pontos do Rubro-Negro, joga também na quarta, contra o Botafogo, só que com um calendário adiantado, pela 23ª rodada. Por isso, depende de si para seguir líder.

Hoje, Ceará (14º), Goiás (20º) e Botafogo (19º) lutam para não cair. A situação poderia ser animadora para os torcedores, é verdade, mas o São Paulo sofre contra os rivais abaixo.

Se a gente tivesse um pouco mais de folga no calendário para treinar, não é que ia ficar fácil, mas ia ajudar um pouco as equipes que têm a proposta de ter um jogo mais agressivo”, concluiu.

O São Paulo é hoje o único time com apenas 19 jogos disputados no Brasileirão. O Goiás tem 20 partidas. O restante alterna entre 21 e 22.
