O Basquete Tricolor acertou a contratação do ala Túlio da Silva, de 26 anos. O jogador estava no Flamengo e chega para reforçar a equipe visando o NBB, a sequência da temporada e a Copa Intercontinental (Mundial de Clubes). O atleta chega com contrato válido até junho de 2023.
Túlio já participou de duas edições do Jogo das Estrelas. Inclusive, ele é o atual campeão no desafio de enterradas. O ala também conta com experiência de ter atuado no basquete universitário dos Estados Unidos, onde chegou em 2014, para integrar a equipe da Arlington Country School. Em seguida, defendeu a South Florida University, entre 2015 e 2018 e, ainda teve passagem pelo Missouri State University.
Após a experiência nos Estados Unidos e chegar a ser cotado para atuar na NBA, Túlio retornou ao Brasil em 2020 e foi jogar no Flamengo. Pouco depois, foi emprestado para o Caxias, onde teve boas atuações na temporada 2020/21.
Ele atuou em 29 jogos, fez 349 pontos (média de 12 pontos), deu 25 assistências, pegou 156 rebotes e deu 26 enterradas. Na última temporada, retornou ao Flamengo e também teve bons números. Foram 37 jogos, 278 pontos, 142 rebotes, 22 assistências e 24 enterradas.
